About the Record

Written by Nidal Eradi

This is a record I never planned on being part of.

Back during the Resort46 days, we were in one of those intense periods where we were juggling close to 20 projects at the same time. Safe to say, we needed help. A close artist friend of ours, Oren — an incredible singer-songwriter — introduced us to Jadd. He told us this guy was fast, sharp, and extremely solid on the production side. Exactly what we needed.

Jadd joined Resort46 and immediately became part of the daily studio rhythm. Showing up every day, fully locked in, fully invested. At that point, I had no idea he was also an amazing singer and guitarist… until I started hearing him casually pick up the guitar during breaks, humming melodies to himself.

I remember being at Cherry Studios one day, deep into the less glamorous part of production — comping vocals, quantizing, all the mechanical work. During a short break, Jadd started singing this melody that instantly caught our attention. That melody would later become Day Off. He already had a solid chunk of the lyrics written. Burton and I jumped in, and together we started shaping the melody and chords, refining the emotion and structure.

A few weeks later at Breakglass Studios, Jadd showed up with a strong body of work — most of it produced on his own. He mentioned he mainly needed help with mixing and possibly adding guitars. I sat down with an acoustic guitar and started jamming along until we found the part that felt right. We tracked it, rearranged a few elements, carved space for instruments and frequencies, and mixed everything together as a team.

That’s when the record really came alive. I remember blasting it in the studio — the kick and bass perfectly locked, hitting hard. His vocals, already strong in their raw form, now sounded like a modern take on Craig David.

Working with Jadd was all about mutual exchange. Sharing ideas, techniques, and creative energy. That’s the kind of collaboration I’m truly grateful for.
